Hi,
I'm new to this website and to the world of writing. I'm currently trying to figure out the correct way to Copywrite my book. I was advised to mail the original document to myself, via certified mail, etc.
Please advise on the correct way to have this done so that my book will be protected.
Thank you so much for this site, it's a great help!
Publishing is synonymous to getting that copyright for protecting your book which is why it is highly important to publish it.
If you are looking for self-publishing companies to publish your book, I know of a few companies that practically holds court to everything a book needs from getting you your copyright, book cover design customization, layout consultation, copyediting and even marketing – at affordable costs. Xlibris is one of those companies that cater to practically all book requirements.
Thanks so much for your assistance and taking time to answer my question. I was looking to do self-publishing so any information that you can send or advise will be helpful and greatly appreciated.
I am thinking about self publishing my book when I am done with the manuscrip. This is my thought on the whole thing. I am going to get my manuscript copy writen through the Library of Congress in Washington D.C. It coast $45. However when the book is complete ready to sell. You will need to get that copy writen also I do not know how much that will be. I had a self publishing company that was trying to force me to send them my manuscrip with out having it copy writen. I did not feel comfortable with that because I am puting my time and hard work into my writting and I do not want anyone else to get credit for my work.
